BIM – easier than ever before

News (english)

LuArtX IT is steadily expanding its partner network. Revizto is now also part of LuArtX’s comprehensive software portfolio for the efficient, cross-trade planning and management of construction projects.

From 1 January 2024, LuArtX will be Revizto’s new reseller partner in the DACH region – CARF users will benefit from an expanded BIM package

Only together are we strong. This motto applies to the construction industry just as much as it does to the supporting software. That is why LuArtX IT is continuing to expand its partnership network with leading providers. The long-standing collaborations are now being supplemented by an important new component: with immediate effect, LuArtX is also a Revizto reseller. The Revizto collaboration platform is characterised in particular by the lossless merging of different 2D and 3D CAD formats for clash detection and targeted task allocation across the various trades.

Revizto consolidates BIM information and makes it immediately accessible and usable for all stakeholders within a shared, intuitive working environment. Using Revizto’s ‘Issue Tracker’, for example, project participants can immediately view predefined tasks within a merged 3D model or on overlaid 2D drawings and can process them efficiently, including interdisciplinary coordination in the event of clashes.

The cooling construction boom is taking its toll – the market demands greater data interoperability

Low interest rates have led to the market overheating. This has also resulted in the establishment of many new branches. Consequently, a vast number of different CAD systems are now in use, not only amongst project partners but also within individual design offices. Data interoperability has therefore become a key issue. However, working efficiently in a multi-CAD environment is only possible with an end-to-end solution such as Revizto. This is because it provides the most important interfaces as standard. The automotive industry’s BIM standard, CARF, can also be easily integrated, enabling cross-trade coordination meetings to be held in factory construction without any communication issues. “The demands placed on the execution of construction projects are constantly increasing. Not only is the familiar ‘on time and on budget’ increasingly required, but new construction technologies must also be integrated, which significantly increases the complexity of project execution. The demand for end-to-end planning processes with data continuity and no data disjunction has never been greater than it is today,” emphasises Joris Lenz, Sales Manager for ppa. at LuArtX IT GmbH, based in Böblingen, adding: “Revizto enables our CARF users to carry out cross-trade planning with a high degree of efficiency. A real asset.”

The be-all and end-all of end-to-end planning

In addition to its current collaboration with Revizto, LuArtX IT GmbH also works with other renowned BIM partners. These include Bentley Systems, CADENAS, IDAT and SOLAR COMPUTER. Furthermore, LuArtX is a member of the AutomationML association. AML is a comprehensive, increasingly widespread XML-based object-oriented data modelling language.

CARF utilises the leading CAD engine, MicroStation, from Bentley Systems. LuArtX offers a comprehensive range of training and consultancy services covering Bentley software products. Thanks to the optimised interface with CADENAS’s parts catalogues, LuArtX’s customers can access a vast pool of manufacturer data. Furthermore, the close cooperation with IDAT offers considerable advantages for CARF users when modelling sprinkler systems and carrying out the associated hydraulic calculations. And with SOLAR COMPUTER, LuArtX has a strong partner at its side when it comes to analyses in building design. The calculation software has been the market leader for years and is used in the design of building services and in facility management.
